Effective August 5, 2026
Acceptable use
These rules protect recording subjects, customers, and the shared processing service.
Authorized and lawful use
Submit only recordings you own or are authorized to process. Do not use FreeTranscribe to violate privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property, recording-consent, export-control, or other laws. Do not use transcripts to impersonate, harass, exploit, or unlawfully monitor another person.
Service safety
Do not upload malicious files, probe or disrupt the service, bypass security or file limits, automate abusive request volumes, create accounts to evade restrictions, or interfere with other customers' access to the shared queue.
One-person Pro use
A Pro subscription is for one person. You may transcribe recordings for your own work, including commercial work, but may not share access, resell the account, or operate it as an unattended bulk transcription endpoint. Contact support before a workflow that could continuously consume shared capacity.
Consequences and questions
We may reject a file or limit, suspend, or close an account when reasonably necessary to stop a violation or protect the service. Where appropriate, we will consider context and give notice. Questions about a proposed use can be sent to [email protected].
